LOCAL
We are very fortunate on the Kapiti Coast. We have an abundance of green fields, a fantastic fishing coastline and people who live and breathe their passion into producing some of the best food in the country. We love our local producers and appreciate them wholeheartedly.
Here in our kitchen we are incredibly proud of our local food heroes (in our hood and a little further afield) and we want to highlight as many of them as we can in the food that we create for you. We will also stock many of their wonderful products in store so that you can use them at home. |
WHO is behind Seriously Pickled?

Hi, my name is Lucinda and I have a confession... I am a feeder!
I was born and bred on the Kapiti Coast and was brought up in the kitchen hanging off my Mum and Nan's apron strings. Back in the day, my mum Barbara and her bestfriend Margaret owned and operated
The Good Life Restaurant on McLean Street in Paraparaumu Beach.
Most of my teenage years (with my school friends) were spent preparing food, doing dishes and looking after our customers. So naturally, moving forward (both professionally and for fun), there has always been an element of food ruling my life.
Big family gatherings, event planning and eating, running cake stalls, cooking lessons,
party planning and more recently catering for people who love seriously good food.
It would be fair to say that I love making people happy through eating (I am a feeder after all!). I love making busy Mums' (Dads' and caregivers) lives easier by providing food that they can simply reheat and eat. Maybe all you need is a platter which turns up on your doorstep ready to serve to your guests to kick start the party.
My ultimate goal is to give you more time to do the things that you love to do!
